I wasn't having the best day when I walked into Boba Sound in Koreatown. I was frustrated, irritated, and honestly just not in a great mood. The moment I walked in, however, I was welcomed by Kelly, whose smile was as bright as a cloudless morning sun. Kelly was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations. I ended up trying the honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly, and it was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend that combination. What made this visit special wasn't just the drink. Within a couple of minutes of interacting with Kelly, my entire attitude and outlook had changed. Her kindness, charisma, and genuine thoughtfulness made me feel seen and appreciated. She seemed to sense I wasn't having the best day and went out of her way to make the experience better. She even gave me the little bit of smoothie that was left in the blender, which was such a simple but thoughtful gesture. Great customer service can completely change someone's day, and that's exactly what happened here. Boba Sound has a unique style in their boba drinks and extensive menu of snacks. The place is very cozy, homey and welcoming. I ordered a customized Mango Smoothie with Coconut flavor, almond milk and boba. Just note that they charge extra for milk substitutes and additional flavors. In addition to my smoothie, I also ordered a Red Bean Taiyaki (2 for $6.50). Service feels very heartwarming and quick. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes. The boba is very warm and chewy, along with the freshly warm Red Bean Taiyaki. They are very generous with their boba portions and red bean filing on the taiyaki. The mango and coconut flavors complement each other, along with the creamy texture of the smoothie. Boba Sound is now one of my go-to boba shops in KTown!

I love their coin cheese, it’s soooo simple but it’s the best. The owner is so nice and he will always smile and welcome you. Everything is freshly made and recommended to finish it.

Friendly staff, great strong iced coffee ready in seconds, random pet food and snack selection imported from Korea! Great parking! Support small business!

Food: Please please please get the beuongo bbang (붕어빵/taiyaki). As a korean american Ive been craving the pastry that my halmoni used to get me back in Korea and this is the most authentic and delicious one that beats the one in Korea! I was so startled by the taste that I urged my parents to try and they agreed that the batter is really well made. The drinks were great too but definitely on the sweeter side (try the zodiac drinks, thought it was a cute way to try introduce new drink combos). Parking and store: Parking lot is a decent size for it being in ktown. The store is small inside but the atmosphere is so cozy and cute. Service: Im pretty sure the man who was taking my order was also the owner but he was super friendly. Would go out of his way to make sure customers can find the bathroom and would check in with each of his customers.
